SUMMARY
Synopsis of Bill
Senate Bill 713 proposes an appropriation of $85.0 from the General Fund to the Local Govern-
ment Division of Department of Finance and Administration (DFA) for FY08 for Mora County
to continue ambulance services.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
The appropriation of $85.0 contained in this bill is a recurring expense to the General Fund. Any
unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of FY08 shall revert to the General
Fund.
SIGNIFICANT ISSUES
The ambulance service which serves Mora Valley is certified by the Public Regulation Commis-
sion as a Basic Life Support ambulance service, but occasionally they provide a more advanced
(EMT-Intermediate) level of response. They have a physician medical director, EMS service
director and a training coordinator. They respond when dispatched for all medical and traumatic
health emergencies within a large geographic area.
