Senate Memorial 5 requests the recognition of Brian Urlacher for outstanding achievements in
professional football.
SIGNIFICANT ISSUES
Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher, a native of Lovington, New Mexico, will make
his first Super Bowl appearance on February 4, 2007 in Super Bowl XLI;
Urlacher, who was a player on both defense and offense for the University of New Mex-
ico, is only the fifth player in the team's history to be named to the Pro Bowl in each of
his first four National Football League seasons;
Urlacher has donated to Lovington High School and the University of New Mexico, has
arranged for the Nike Company to outfit Lovington's varsity teams with shoes, has sup-
ported the Special Olympics of New Mexico as well as the University's Lobo Club;
The memorial asks that best wishes be extended to Brian Urlacher and his Chicago Bears
teammates in Super Bowl XLI;
The memorial asks that a copy of this memorial as well as a generous helping of New
Mexico green chile be delivered to Brian Urlacher.
