AN ACT

MAKING APPROPRIATIONS FOR LOW-INCOME ENERGY ASSISTANCE AND EFFICIENCY PROGRAMS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three million dollars ($3,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the human services department for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 to support the low-income home energy assistance program. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.

     Section 2. APPROPRIATION.--Three million dollars ($3,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the New Mexico mortgage finance authority for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 to support the weatherization-energy efficiency program. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
