AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR U.S.S. NEW MEXICO CEREMONIES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of military affairs for expenditure in fiscal years 2009 through 2012 to promote the submarine U.S.S. New Mexico throughout the state, to help educate the submarine crew about New Mexico and to support milestone ceremonies during the submarine's construction and commissioning. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2012 shall revert to the general fund.
