AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE ATTORNEY GENERAL FOR AN ANIMAL CRUELTY TASK FORCE.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred sixty thousand dollars ($160,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the attorney general for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 for an animal cruelty task force. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
