AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO ESTABLISH THE INSTITUTE ON THE SANTA FE TRAIL AT LUNA COMMUNITY COLLEGE.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the higher education department for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 to establish the institute on the Santa Fe trail, a study center devoted to research, publication and interpretive materials concerning the early founding of New Mexico under Spain, Mexico and the United States, at Luna community college. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
