SUMMARY
Synopsis of Bill
House Bill 415 appropriates $25,000 from the general fund to the Aging & Long-Term Services
Department (ALTSD) for the operation and maintenance of two senior centers in Guadalupe
County. Any unexpended balance remaining at the end of FY 09 will revert to the general fund.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
The Legislative Finance Committee recommended $750 thousand in expansion funding for aging
network services which was adopted by House Appropriations and Finance Committee.
Separately, there is an $8.2 million request contained in HB 127 for statewide funding for aging
network services. According to ALTSD, the request for Guadalupe County contained in this bill
is also included in HB 127.
