Saturday after Thanksgiving.

House Memorial 11 makes the following statements;

Football is of utmost importance to many New Mexico residents; and

The football rivalry between the university of New Mexico and New Mexico state

university is long-standing and closely fought; and

College football rivalry week is traditionally the weekend following the Thanksgiving

holiday; and

•

The Thanksgiving weekend is a reasonable time frame for scheduling the state's most

controversial and tough football game because so many college students are home during

the Thanksgiving period;
