SIGNIFICANT ISSUES
HED states that the goal of this Bill is to facilitate closing of the current gap on health disparities,
related to the Departments Health and Racial Health Disparities Report Card.
This Bill continues the work of the 2007 Session SB 600, signed by the Governor on March 30,
2007.
This request was not submitted to the HED for review and is not included in the Departments
funding recommendations for FY 09.
HED states there will be a hindrance to the above-mentioned Task Force, if the Bill is not
passed.
ADMINISTRATIVE IMPLICATIONS
HED states that the Bill provides for per-diem and travel, but does not provide money for staff
and writing.
