SUMMARY
Synopsis of Bill
Senate Bill 194 appropriates $300 thousand from the general fund to the Tourism Department for
the Santa Fe dance festival to promote the arts and tourism and to support training and outreach
services.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
The appropriation of $300 thousand contained in this bill is a recurring expense to the general
fund. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall
revert to the general fund.
SIGNIFICANT ISSUES
The Tourism Department indicates that by promoting tourism the dance festival could present a
cultural tourism opportunity.
