Synopsis of Bill
Senate Joint Memorial states the following:
Many consumers and family members (hereafter referred to an ‘individuals") must cope with
disabling behavioral health illnesses.
•
These individuals advocate to improve the continuum of behavioral health services
statewide;
•
These individuals advocate to ensure that behavioral health services are consumer-
and family-driven.
•
These individuals advocate increasing behavioral health education and training to
individuals, families, providers and the general public.
•
These individuals advocate promoting adequate funding to address the needs of the
behavioral health
•
These individuals advocate ensuring the availability of appropriate pharmaceuticals.
•
These individuals advocate to ensure that behavioral health services are provided in a
culturally competent manner
