                           AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH FOR A CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASE PREVENTION PROGRAM.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) is appropriated from the tobacco settlement program fund to the department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 2010 to establish a cardiovascular disease prevention program to provide public and professional education on the prevention and control of heart disease and stroke. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2010 shall revert to the tobacco settlement program fund.
