AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO FUND RURAL PORTABLE DENTAL

CLINIC SERVICES ON THE NAVAJO NATION FOR THE SHIPROCK AND CROWNPOINT AGENCIES.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 2010 to provide money to contract with a nonprofit school-based portable dental program to provide dental screening examinations and dental sealants to uninsured low-income children in the Shiprock and Crownpoint agencies of the Navajo Nation who are not enrolled in medicaid but who are eligible for the free or reduced-price school lunch program in rural school districts. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2010 shall revert to the general fund.
