FOR THE INDIAN AFFAIRS COMMITTEE

 

AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE ATTORNEY GENERAL'S OFFICE FOR THE ENFORCEMENT OF THE INDIAN ARTS AND CRAFTS SALES ACT.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the attorney general's office for expenditure in fiscal year 2010 for the investigation and prosecution of violations of the Indian Arts and Crafts Sales Act, including staff, the costs and expenses of enforcement and consumer education. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2010 shall revert to the general fund.
