    Your EDUCATION COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE BILL 691, as amended

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

    1.  On page 1, line 24, strike "B" and insert in lieu thereof "D".

    2.  On page 2, between lines 14 and 15, insert the following new subsection:

         "C. The department shall provide for the length and number of school days for variable school year calendars in accordance with the Variable School Calendar Act.".

    3.  Reletter the succeeding subsections accordingly.

    4.  On page 4, line 1, strike "2009-2010" and insert in lieu thereof "2010-2011".,

and thence referred to the PUBLIC AFFAIRS COMMITTEE.
