AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE BOARD OF REGENTS OF EASTERN NEW MEXICO UNIVERSITY TO SUPPORT HIGH-QUALITY STUDENT ATHLETICS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of eastern New Mexico university for expenditure in fiscal year 2010 to support high-quality student athletics by providing them with grants-in-aid, training and competition equipment and funding for travel. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2010 shall revert to the general fund.
