    Your JUDICIARY COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

SENATE BILL 76

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

    1. On page 3, line 4, after the second occurrence of "for", insert "all or a portion of".

    2. On page 3, line 5, after "compensation", insert "benefits".

    3. On page 3, line 6, after "release", insert "or an appropriate release".

    4. On page 3, line 7, strike "payments" and insert in lieu thereof "compromised benefits".

    5. On page 3, line 17, strike "and".

    6. On page 3, between lines 17 and 18, insert the following new paragraph:

             "(3) the lump-sum payment agreement is fair, equitable and provides substantial justice to the worker and employer; and".

    7. Renumber the succeeding paragraph accordingly.

    8. On page 3, line 25, before "settlement", insert "terms of the" and strike "matter" and insert in lieu thereof "lump-sum payment agreement".

    9. On page 4, line 1, insert a space between "not" and "be".

    10. On page 4, line 3, strike "elects" and insert in lieu thereof "and employer elect" and strike "receive" and insert in lieu thereof "enter into".

    11. On page 4, strike line 4 in its entirety and strike line 5 up to the comma and insert in lieu thereof "agreement pursuant to Subsection D of this section".
