AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR RESEARCH AND TEACHING OF THE NAVAJO LANGUAGE.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Ninety-seven thousand five hundred dollars ($97,500) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal year 2010 for a program of teaching of the Navajo language. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2010 shall revert to the general fund.
