AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO ENCOURAGE THE NATIONAL JUNIOR AND HIGH SCHOOL RODEO FINALS TO BE HELD IN NEW MEXICO.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two million dollars ($2,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the economic development department for expenditure in fiscal years 2010 through 2020 to fund an effort to encourage that the national junior and high school rodeo finals be held in New Mexico pursuant to a process in which the rodeo events are rotated to communities in New Mexico that have the appropriate facilities to host the events. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2020 shall revert to the general fund.
