AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT DIVISION OF THE DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION TO PROVIDE INTENSIVE THEATRICAL PRODUCTION AND FILMMAKING WORKSHOPS TO TEACH NATIVE AMERICANS SKILLS NECESSARY TO GAIN EMPLOYMENT IN THE FILM INDUSTRY.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Ten thousand dollars ($10,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the Indian affairs department for expenditure in fiscal year 2010 to provide intensive theatrical production and filmmaking workshops to teach Native Americans the necessary skills to be competitive in seeking and gaining employment in New Mexico's film industry. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2010 shall revert to the general fund.
