    Your CONSUMER AND PUBLIC AFFAIRS COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE BILL 234

has had it under consideration and reports same WITHOUT RECOMMENDATION, amended as follows:

     1. On page 2, strike lines 2 through 11 and insert in lieu thereof:

"Over $ 12,000 but not over $ 75,000  $ 384 plus 4.9% of

                                      excess over $ 12,000

Over $ 75,000 but not over $187,500   $ 3,471 plus 5.4% of

                                      excess over $ 75,000

Over $187,500 but not over $375,000   $ 9,546 plus 5.9% of

                                      excess over $187,500

Over $375,000 but not over $750,000   $ 20,608.50 plus 6.4% of

                                      excess over $375,000

Over $750,000                         $ 44,608.50 plus 6.9% of 

                                      excess over $750,000.".

     2. On page 2, strike lines 20 through 25 and on page 3, strike lines 1 through 4 and insert in lieu thereof: 

"Over $ 24,000 but not over $150,000 $ 768 plus 4.9% of                                          excess over $ 24,000

Over $150,000 but not over $375,000 $ 6,942 plus 5.4% of

                                   excess over $150,000

Over $375,000 but not over $750,000 $ 19,092 plus 5.9% of

                                   excess over $375,000

Over $750,000 but not over $1,500,000 $ 41,217 plus 6.4% of                                       excess over $750,000

Over $1,500,000                  $ 89,217 plus 6.9% of                                        excess over $1,500,000.".

     3. On page 3, strike lines 13 through 22 and insert in lieu thereof:

"Over $ 16,000 but not over $100,000 $ 504.50 plus 4.9% of

                                      excess over $ 16,000

Over $100,000 but not over $250,000   $ 4,620.50 plus 5.4% of excess over $100,000

Over $250,000 but not over $500,000   $ 12,720.50 plus 5.9% of excess over $250,000

Over $500,000 but not over $1,000,000 $ 27,470.50 plus 6.4% of                                         excess over $500,000

Over $1,000,000                       $ 59,470.50 plus 6.9% of                                         excess over $1,000,000.".,

and thence referred to the TAXATION AND REVENUE COMMITTEE.
