AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PROVIDE A FULL-DAY INDIAN LAW INSTITUTE FOR NEW MEXICO LEGISLATORS TO ENABLE THEM TO UNDERSTAND THE FOUNDATIONAL PRINCIPLES OF INDIAN LAW.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Five thousand dollars ($5,000) is appropriated from the legislative cash balances to the legislative council service for expenditure in fiscal year 2011 to provide a full-day Indian law institute for New Mexico legislators to enable them to understand the foundational principles of Indian law. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2011 shall revert to the legislative cash balances.
