    Your JUDICIARY COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred


SENATE BILL 55


has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:


    1. On page 5, line 15, strike "bodies of persons" and insert in lieu thereof "human remains".


    2. On page 10, line 2, strike "BODIES" and insert in lieu thereof "HUMAN REMAINS".


    3. On page 11, lines 4 and 5, strike "bodies of persons" and insert in lieu thereof "human remains".


    4. On page 11, line 7, strike "body" and insert in lieu thereof "human remains".


    5. On page 11, line 8, strike "body" and insert in lieu thereof "human remains".


    6. On page 11, strike lines 21 and 22 in their entirety and insert in lieu thereof:


             "(1) no later than two hours after receiving the report, enter identifying and descriptive".


    7. On page 15, line 9, strike "Information" and insert in lieu thereof "Insurance".


    8. On page 16, line 4, strike "Information" and insert in lieu thereof "Insurance".


    9. On page 17, line 2, strike the ending quotation mark.


    10. On page 17, between lines 2 and 3, insert a new subsection to read:


         "C. Law enforcement agencies that receive notice of a possible match between human remains and a missing person description shall notify the office of the state medical investigator."".
