Mr. President:
Your FINANCE COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred
HOUSE CONSUMER AND PUBLIC AFFAIRS COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE FOR HOUSE BILL 59, as amended
has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:
1. Strike House Labor and Human Resources Committee Amendments 1, 2, 5, 6 and 7.
2. On page 43, line 13, after "indicator"", strike the remainder of the line and strike lines 14 through 16 and insert in lieu thereof:
"any time after four weeks prior to the last week for which one hundred percent federal sharing funding is available under Section 2005(a) of Public Law No. 111-5, without regard to the extension of federal sharing for certain claims as provided under Section 2005(c) of that law; or".
3. On page 43, line 18, after "2003", insert:
"and ending four weeks prior to the last week for which one hundred percent federal sharing funding is available under Section 2005(a) of Public Law No. 111-5, without regard to the extension of federal sharing for certain claims as provided under Section 2005(c) of that law".
4. On page 46, line 5, after "amounts", strike the remainder of the line, strike lines 6 through 8 and strike line 9 up to the colon.
5. On page 50, line 13, after the period, insert an ending quotation mark and strike lines 14 through 24 in their entirety.
