HOUSE JUDICIARY COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE FOR
HOUSE BILL 299
has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:
1. On page 1, line 12, after "SUPPORT", insert "IN MOST CASES".
2. On page 1, line 12, strike "THREE" and insert in lieu thereof "SIX".
3. On page 2, line 9, strike "three" and insert in lieu thereof "six" and after "date", strike the remainder of the line.
4. On page 2, line 10, strike "the action" and insert in lieu thereof "on which the action for support was filed".
5. On page 2, line 10, strike "substantial".
6. On page 2, line 12, strike "three" and insert in lieu thereof "six".
7. On page 3, line 9, strike "three" and insert in lieu thereof "six" and after "years", insert "from the date on which the action for support was filed".
8. On page 3, line 9, strike "substantial".
9. On page 3, line 12, strike "three" and insert in lieu thereof "six".
10. On page 3, between lines 20 and 21, insert the following new subsection:
"H. The six-year limitation on retroactive child support shall not limit a claim under Section 40-11A-607 NMSA 1978 brought by a child who has reached the age of majority.".
11. Reletter the succeeding subsections accordingly.
