Mr. President:

    Your EDUCATION COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

SENATE BILL 360

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

    1. On page 2, lines 5 through 8, strike Paragraph (1) in its entirety.

    2. Renumber the succeeding paragraphs accordingly.

    3. On page 2, lines 11 and 12, strike "three through eight" and insert in lieu thereof "four, six, seven".

    4. On page 2, line 17, after "assessment", strike the remainder of the line and strike line 18 up to the period.

    5. On page 2, after line 25, insert the following subsection:

         "D. During school year 2011-2012, public schools, charter schools and state educational institutions shall use an appropriate assessment for grades nine and ten to comply with the federal Individuals with Disabilities Education Act.".,

and thence referred to the FINANCE COMMITTEE.
