AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO NEW MEXICO STATE UNIVERSITY FOR SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT PROGRAMS AND THE SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION COMMISSION.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--

          A. One million seven hundred thousand dollars ($1,700,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal year 2012 and subsequent fiscal years in the following amounts for the following purposes:

                (1) five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) for soil and water conservation district operations; and

                (2) one million two hundred thousand dollars ($1,200,000) for district projects and programs and for operations of the soil and water conservation commission.

          B. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of a fiscal year shall not revert to the general fund.
