Mr. Speaker:

    Your JUDICIARY COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE BILL 95

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

1. On page 18, between lines 9 and 10, insert the following

 new section:

     “SECTION 11. APPROPRIATION.--

          A. Five hundred thirty thousand dollars ($530,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the administrative office of the courts for expenditure in fiscal year 2014 as follows:

                (1) four hundred thousand dollars ($400,000) for employer contribution increases pursuant to the Judicial Retirement Act; and

                (2) one hundred thirty thousand dollars ($130,000) for employer contribution increases pursuant to the Magistrate Retirement Act.

          B. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance at the end of fiscal year 2014 shall revert to the general fund.".

     2. Renumber the succeeding section accordingly.

3. On page 18, between lines 22 and 23, insert the following

new section:

     "SECTION 13. SEVERABILITY.--If any part or application of this act is held invalid, the remainder or its application to other situations or persons shall not be affected.".

     2. Renumber the succeeding section accordingly.,

and thence referred to the APPROPRIATIONS AND FINANCE COMMITTEE.
