AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR NEW MEXICO SENIOR CITIZEN PROGRAMS.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--

          A. The following amounts are appropriated from the general fund to the aging and long-term services department for expenditure in fiscal year 2014 for the following purposes:

                (1) four million six hundred thirteen thousand six hundred eighty-three dollars ($4,613,683) for the six area agencies that provide senior services, including adult daycare, case management, congregate meals, home-delivered meals, in-home services, transportation and senior center services;

                (2) one hundred seventy thousand nine hundred thirteen dollars ($170,913) for volunteer programs, including foster grandparents, senior companions and retired senior volunteers; and

                (3) one hundred twelve thousand forty dollars ($112,040) for senior health promotion activities, including senior olympics.

          B. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2014 shall revert to the general fund.
