    Your JUDICIARY COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE BILL 450

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

     1. On page 3, line 20, strike "Deductions" and insert in lieu thereof "Except with respect to inmates convicted of a domestic violence offense pursuant to the Crimes Against Household Members Act or driving while under the influence of intoxicating liquor or drugs pursuant to Section 66-8-102 NMSA 1978, deductions".

     2. On page 3, line 21, after the period, insert:

"Deductions of time for good behavior with respect to inmates convicted of a domestic violence offense pursuant to the Crimes Against Household Members Act or driving while under the influence of intoxicating liquor or drugs pursuant to Section 66-8-102 NMSA 1978 shall not exceed fifteen percent of the term of the inmate's original sentence, unless the presiding judge allows a deduction of time in an amount up to but not exceeding one-half of the term of the original sentence.".
