    Your JUDICIARY COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

SENATE BILL 12, as amended

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

    1. Strike Senate Rules Committee Amendment 1.

    2. On page 4, line 21, strike "and of the audit committee meetings".

    3. On page 4, line 22, after "secretary", insert "of the authority".

    4. On page 5, line 19, after the first occurrence of "committee", insert "and be maintained pursuant to the provisions of the Audit Act and the rules of the state auditor.".

    5. On page 5, line 20, after "provided", insert "annual".

    6. On page 5, lines 21 and 22, strike "At least one member of the audit committee shall have no less than ten years' experience in the area of finance." and insert in lieu thereof "At a minimum, the audit committee shall:

             (1) attend the entrance and exit conferences for annual and special audits; and

             (2) meet with the certified public accounting firm performing the external financial audit at least monthly after audit field work until the conclusion of the audit.".

    7. On page 9, line 22, strike "The" and insert in lieu thereof "After the audit report has been released by the state auditor and becomes a matter of public record, the".

    8. On page 9, line 23, after "audit", insert "report".

    9. On page 9, line 23, after "be", insert "presented in person by a representative of the certified public accounting firm and".

    10. On page 9, line 24, after "audit", insert "report".,

and thence referred to the FINANCE COMMITTEE.
