AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO NEW MEXICO STATE UNIVERSITY FOR SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICTS TO MATCH FEDERAL FUNDING FOR WATER CONSERVATION AND NATURAL RESOURCE RESTORATION TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal year 2014 to match federal funds for the soil and water conservation districts to provide water conservation and natural resource restoration technical assistance, or any other technical assistance, pursuant to an agreement with the United States department of agriculture's natural resources conservation service. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2014 shall revert to the general fund.
