AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE VETERANS' SERVICES DEPARTMENT FOR A SUICIDE PREVENTION PROGRAM THAT EMPLOYS COUNSELORS WHO ARE NATIVE AMERICAN VETERANS.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred fifty-five thousand dollars ($155,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the veterans' services department for expenditure in fiscal year 2014 to train Native American veterans as counselors and administer a suicide prevention program involving youth and their families in Cibola, McKinley and San Juan counties. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2014 shall revert to the general fund.
