    Your CONSERVATION COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

SENATE BILL 197

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

    1. On page 1, line 17, after "2014", insert "for the state engineer to convene a meeting to be jointly conducted by the middle Rio Grande conservancy district and the mid-region council of governments and attended by representatives of the office of the state engineer and the interstate stream commission; water experts from industry; representatives from acequias and Indian pueblos; and others with special expertise and".

    2. On page 1, line 18, strike "maximization" and insert in lieu thereof "optimization".,

and thence referred to the FINANCE COMMITTEE.
