    Your RULES COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

SENATE BILL 238

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

    1. On page 1, line 13, before the period, insert "; REPEALING A SECTION OF THE NMSA 1978".

    2. On page 1, lines 20 and 21, remove the brackets and line-through and on line 21, strike "felony".

    3. On page 2, line 11, strike the closing quotation mark.

    4. On page 2, between lines 11 and 12, insert the following new subsection and section:

         "D. As used in this section, "felonious or infamous crime" means a capital, first or second degree felony."

    SECTION 2. REPEAL.--Section 31-13-1 NMSA 1978 (being Laws 1963, Chapter 303, Section 29-14, as amended) is repealed.".,

and thence referred to the JUDICIARY COMMITTEE.
