AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE CITY OF SANTA FE TO CONTRACT WITH AN ORGANIZATION THAT PROVIDES MEAL DELIVERY SERVICES TO TERMINAL OR CHRONICALLY ILL HOMEBOUND PERSONS.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the local government division of the department of finance and administration for expenditure in fiscal year 2014 for the city of Santa Fe to contract with an established northern New Mexico organization, experienced in the meal delivery service field, to deliver nutritious meals to terminally or chronically ill homebound persons. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2014 shall revert to the general fund.
