AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO BEGIN IMPLEMENTATION OF A PLAN TO ESTABLISH "CAMBIAR NEW MEXICO" REHABILITATION CENTERS IN LAS VEGAS AND ROSWELL.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--

          A. Twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the children, youth and families department for expenditure in fiscal year 2014 to begin implementing a plan to establish "Cambiar New Mexico" rehabilitation facilities in Las Vegas and Roswell, New Mexico. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2014 shall revert to the general fund.

          B. In using the appropriation provided in this section, the children, youth and families department shall follow the "Feasibility Study and Master Planning for Children, Youth and Families Department" document prepared for the general services department dated August 2, 2010 and shall consider, if feasible, private funding sources and a design, build and leaseback procurement option.
