AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT TO CONTRACT FOR SERVICES TO DEVELOP A SMARTPHONE APPLICATION AND COMPUTER SOFTWARE FOR FOREST RESTORATION PROJECTS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--One million eight hundred fifty-five thousand dollars ($1,855,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the economic development department for expenditure in fiscal year 2015 and subsequent fiscal years to contract for services to develop a smartphone application and computer software for restoring forests, watersheds and local economies. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of a fiscal year shall not revert to the general fund.
