AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE BOARD OF REGENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF A CULTURAL SITE MAINTENANCE PLAN AND MULTIPURPOSE CENTER WITHIN THE ATRISCO LAND GRANT-MERCED; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal years 2014 and 2015 to fund a study by the indigenous design and planning institute to develop a plan for preservation of cultural and historical sites and the development of a multipurpose center within the Atrisco land grant-merced. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2015 shall revert to the general fund.

     SECTION 2. EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public peace, health and safety that this act take effect immediately.
