AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE TRIBAL COLLEGE DUAL CREDIT PROGRAM FUND.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--One million five hundred thousand dollars ($1,500,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the tribal college dual credit program fund for expenditure in fiscal year 2015 and subsequent fiscal years to compensate tribal colleges as provided in Section 21-1-1.2 NMSA 1978 for foregone revenue due to the waiver of tuition and fees by the tribal colleges for high school students participating in the tribal college dual credit program during the preceding school year. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of a fiscal year shall not revert to the general fund.
