AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR FOSTERING FRIENDSHIPS BETWEEN STUDENTS WITH AND STUDENTS WITHOUT INTELLECTUAL DISABILITY.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the public education department for expenditure in fiscal year 2015 to enhance programs in middle schools and high schools directed at fostering one-to-one friendships between students with and students without intellectual and developmental disabilities and promoting inclusion in school climates. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2015 shall revert to the general fund.
