FOR THE LEGISLATIVE HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES COMMITTEE

 

AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO DEVELOP A CENTER OF EXCELLENCE TO EXPAND AND REPLICATE THE FOCUS-MILAGRO INTEGRATED CARE MODEL; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three million five hundred thousand dollars ($3,500,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal years 2015 through 2018 to establish a center of excellence to expand and replicate the university of New Mexico health sciences center's FOCUS-milagro integrated care model. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2018 shall revert to the general fund.

     SECTION 2. EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public peace, health and safety that this act take effect immediately.
