AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH FOR RATE INCREASES TO FAMILY INFANT TODDLER PROVIDERS.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--

          A. Eight million two hundred thousand dollars ($8,200,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 2016 as follows:

                (1) one million five hundred thousand dollars ($1,500,000) to fund provider rate increases recommended in the 2003 cost study on family infant toddler services; and

                (2) six million seven hundred thousand dollars ($6,700,000) to fund additional rate increases to cover the increased cost of providing family infant toddler services as a result of regulatory requirements implemented since the 2003 cost study.

          B. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2016 shall revert to the general fund.
