AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE NEW MEXICO WATER RESOURCES RESEARCH INSTITUTE AT NEW MEXICO STATE UNIVERSITY.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Four hundred thousand dollars ($400,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal year 2017 to support the work of the New Mexico water resources research institute. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2017 shall revert to the general fund.
