AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE HUMAN SERVICES DEPARTMENT TO FUND BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICES FOR HOMELESS INDIVIDUALS AND VETERANS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two million dollars ($2,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the human services department for expenditure in fiscal year 2017 to fund, through the behavioral health services division of the department, substance abuse treatment and mental health services for homeless individuals and veterans statewide. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2017 shall revert to the general fund.
