AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT TO SUPPORT ECONOMIC AND WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT FOR HOMELESS POPULATIONS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the economic development department for expenditure in fiscal year 2017 to support economic and workforce development for homeless populations in cities with a population of more than six hundred thousand. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2017 shall revert to the general fund.
