MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE INDIAN AFFAIRS DEPARTMENT TO CONDUCT A FEASIBILITY STUDY TO DESIGN AND PLAN A TELEPHONE TRUNK LINE TO PROVIDE EMERGENCY SERVICES TO THE ELDERLY, THE YOUNG AND THOSE NEEDING MEDICAL CARE IN SAN JUAN COUNTY.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the Indian affairs department for expenditure in fiscal year 2017 to conduct a feasibility study to design and plan a telephone trunk line to provide emergency services to the elderly, the young and those needing medical care in San Juan county. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2017 shall revert to the general fund.
