AN ACT

REDUCING LEGISLATIVE APPROPRIATIONS IN LAWS 2015; MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR EXTENDED HOURS OF COMMERCIAL OPERATION AT THE SANTA TERESA PORT OF ENTRY; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. A new section of the General Appropriation Act of 2015 is enacted to read:

     "[NEW MATERIAL] APPROPRIATION REDUCTION.--The appropriation from the general fund in Laws 2015, Chapter 101, Section 5, Item 21 is reduced by two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000)."

     SECTION 2. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the economic development department for expenditure in fiscal years 2017 and 2018 to contract for the extension of hours of commercial operation at the Santa Teresa port of entry. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2018 shall revert to the general fund.

     SECTION 3. EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public peace, health and safety that this act take effect immediately.
