AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH TO FUND COUNTY AND TRIBAL HEALTH COUNCILS' EFFORTS TO IDENTIFY AND ADDRESS LOCAL COMMUNITIES' HEALTH NEEDS.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Seven hundred thousand dollars ($700,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 2018 to fund county and tribal health councils' identification of local communities' health needs and development of strategies to address those needs pursuant to the Maternal and Child Health Plan Act. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2018 shall revert to the general fund.
