    Your PUBLIC AFFAIRS COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

SENATE BILL 355

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

    1. On page 3, line 3, after "physician", insert "as set forth in rules promulgated by the board".

    2. On page 10, line 2, after "the", strike the remainder of the line and insert in lieu thereof "Physician Assistant Act. Rules promulgated pursuant to that act shall:

             (1) require that a physician assistant whose practice is a specialty care, as defined by the board, shall be supervised by a licensed physician in accordance with requirements established by the board; and

             (2) allow a physician assistant whose practice is primary care, as defined by the board, to collaborate with a licensed physician in accordance with requirements established by the board for different practice settings.".

    3. On page 14, line 24, strike "[under] with" and insert in lieu thereof "with".

    4. On page 14, lines 24 and 25, strike "[and direction]".

    5. On page 15, line 6, after "shall", insert ", at a minimum,".,

and thence referred to the JUDICIARY COMMITTEE.
